These Easy No-Bake Christmas Oreo Truffle Balls are a quick and simple holiday treat made with just four main ingredients. They’re creamy, fudgy, and perfect for cookie plates, parties, or homemade gifts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.3 oz) package Oreo cookies (regular, not double-stuf)
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional)
  • For coating: 1 cup holiday sprinkles, crushed candy canes, cocoa powder, or powdered sugar; or 1 1/2 cups white or semi-sweet chocolate chips + 1 tablespoon coconut oil (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Place the entire package of Oreos (filling and all) into a food processor. Pulse until you get a fine, sand-like crumb. Alternatively, crush in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
  2. Soften the cream cheese: Take cream cheese out of the fridge about 30 minutes before starting. If forgotten, cut into small cubes and let sit for 10-15 minutes, or microwave in 10-second bursts until soft but not melted.
  3. Mix the base: In a large bowl, combine crushed Oreos, softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar (if using). Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed until fully combined and the mixture holds together when squeezed.
  4. Chill the mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Roll the truffles: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, portion out the mixture and roll into smooth balls. Place on prepared baking sheet. You should get about 24-28 truffles.
  6. Add the coating: Pour chosen coating into a shallow bowl. Roll each truffle ball in the coating until fully covered. For sprinkles, gently press them in. For chocolate dipping, freeze rolled truffles for 15 minutes, then dip in melted chocolate mixed with coconut oil.
  7. Final chill: Place coated truffles back on baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and regular Oreos. If mixture is too sticky, chill longer. Wet hands slightly when rolling to prevent sticking. Truffles improve after a day in the fridge. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
