A fun and forgiving Halloween charcuterie board arranged in a spiderweb pattern using pretzel sticks, cheese strips, and simple ingredients. Perfect for parties, it comes together in under 20 minutes and is sure to impress without the stress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cut into thin strips (about 2 inches long)
  • 8 ounces pepper jack cheese, cut into thin strips
  • 6 ounces salami, thinly sliced and halved
  • 6 ounces turkey pepperoni, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup green olives, pitted (preferably Castelvetrano)
  • 1 cup black olives, pitted
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 large bag pretzel sticks (about 8 ounces)
  • 4 ounces string cheese, cut into thin strips (mozzarella works best)
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds, shelled
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (recommend Fage)
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Start with the dip (2 minutes). In a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Set aside in the center of your board—this will be the ‘heart’ of the spiderweb.
  2. Create the web spokes (3 minutes). Arrange 8 to 10 pretzel sticks radiating outward from the dip bowl, like the spokes of a bicycle wheel. Space them evenly around the bowl. These are the structural bones of your web, so take your time to get them even. If a pretzel breaks, just eat it and grab another.
  3. Add the cheese strips (4 minutes). Take your cheddar and pepper jack strips and lay them in concentric circles around the dip bowl, connecting the pretzel spokes. Start about 2 inches from the bowl and work your way outward, creating 3 to 4 rings. The strips should curve slightly between each spoke, mimicking the natural curve of a spiderweb.
  4. Layer the meats (3 minutes). Fold each salami and pepperoni slice in half, then place them between the cheese rings. Tuck them slightly under the cheese strips so they peek out, adding texture and depth.
  5. Fill in with olives and tomatoes (3 minutes). Place small bowls of green olives, black olives, and cherry tomatoes in the outer sections of the board, between the spokes.
  6. Add the finishing touches (2 minutes). Sprinkle pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries along the cheese rings and around the outer edge.
  7. Create the spider (1 minute). For a fun touch, use two black olives for the body and eight thin pretzel sticks for the legs, placing them on top of the dip bowl or at the edge of the board.

Notes

Let cheese and meats come to room temperature for 15 minutes before assembling to prevent breaking. Use a vegetable peeler for uniform cheese strips. Keep the area around the dip bowl clear for the web pattern. Prep all ingredients before starting assembly. For best results, add pretzel spokes just before serving to keep them crunchy. The board can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated.
