A quick and easy charcuterie board for two featuring creamy brie, sweet grapes, and salty cured meats. Perfect for date night or a simple weeknight treat, this board comes together in under 15 minutes with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Brie cheese (4-6 ounces)
  • Aged cheddar (2-3 ounces)
  • Prosciutto (3-4 slices)
  • Salami (4-6 slices)
  • Red seedless grapes (1 cup)
  • Dried figs or apricots (¼ cup)
  • Water crackers or crostini (about 8-10 pieces)
  • Baguette slices (6-8 thin slices)
  • Honey or fig jam (2 tablespoons)
  • Mixed nuts (¼ cup)
  • Cornichons or pickled onions (a small handful)
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme sprigs, optional)
  • Dark chocolate (a few squares, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your cheese (5 minutes before assembling): Take the brie out of the refrigerator and unwrap it. Place it on a small plate and let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  2. Wash and dry the grapes: Rinse the grapes under cold water and pat them completely dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  3. Slice the baguette: If using a baguette, slice it into thin rounds, about ¼-inch thick. If you want to toast them, arrange on a baking sheet and broil for 1-2 minutes per side until golden.
  4. Arrange the board: Place your board on a flat surface. Start with the bowls—place the honey or fig jam in one small bowl and the cornichons in another. Position these toward the edges of the board.
  5. Place the cheese: Put the brie in a prominent spot on the board, slightly off-center. Slice the aged cheddar into thin triangles or cubes and arrange them near the brie.
  6. Add the meats: Drape the prosciutto slices loosely on the board—don’t stack them flat, let them fold naturally for texture. Roll or fold the salami slices and place them nearby.
  7. Scatter the fruit: Arrange the grapes in small clusters around the board. Place the dried figs or apricots in a small cluster near the brie.
  8. Fill in with crackers and nuts: Fan out the water crackers and baguette slices in different areas of the board. Sprinkle the mixed nuts in the gaps.
  9. Add garnishes: Tuck small sprigs of rosemary or thyme around the board for color and aroma. Drizzle a little honey over the brie if desired. Add a few squares of dark chocolate for a sweet surprise.
  10. Serve immediately: Place the board in the center of the table with small plates, napkins, and a cheese knife.

Notes

Let brie sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving for best texture. Keep crackers away from wet ingredients to prevent sogginess. Prep ingredients up to 24 hours in advance and assemble just before serving.
