A quick and easy dessert dip that captures the nostalgic flavor of Little Debbie Christmas tree cakes, made lighter with cottage cheese and cream cheese. Perfect for holiday parties and potlucks.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese, small-curd
  • 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • 2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Graham crackers, for serving
  • Vanilla wafers, for serving
  • Apple slices, for serving
  • Pretzels, for serving

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by leaving it out for 30 minutes or microwaving for 10-15 seconds.
  2. Blend the cottage cheese in a food processor for about 30 seconds until completely smooth.
  3. In the food processor, combine the softened cream cheese, blended cottage cheese, marshmallow fluff, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth, scraping down sides as needed.
  4. If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring and mix until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer the dip to a serving dish, cover, and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Just before serving, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  7. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top of the dip in zigzag lines. Immediately sprinkle with holiday sprinkles.
  8. Serve with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, apple slices, or pretzels.

Notes

For best texture, blend cottage cheese separately before combining. The dip firms up after chilling; if too runny, add extra powdered sugar. Can be made up to 2 days ahead, but add white chocolate drizzle and sprinkles just before serving.
