Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (960 ml) cranberry juice (100% pure, unsweetened)
  • 3 cups (720 ml) ginger beer (e.g., Fever-Tree or Gosling’s)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) fresh orange juice (from about 3–4 oranges)
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) fresh lime juice (from about 2–3 limes)
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) simple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • Ice (large cubes preferred)
  • Fresh cranberries (for garnish)
  • Orange slices or wheels (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare garnishes: slice one orange into thin rounds and cut each round in half. Wash and dry fresh cranberries. Rinse mint sprigs. Set aside.
  2. Juice citrus: roll oranges and limes on the counter, cut in half, and juice until you have 1 cup orange juice and ¼ cup lime juice. Strain out seeds if needed.
  3. Combine base ingredients in a large pitcher: 4 cups cranberry juice, 3 cups ginger beer, 1 cup orange juice, ¼ cup lime juice, and simple syrup if using. Stir gently to combine without losing carbonation.
  4. Taste and adjust: add more lime for tartness or more simple syrup for sweetness as desired.
  5. Fill serving glasses with ice (large cubes preferred).
  6. Pour mocktail over ice, filling each glass about three-quarters full.
  7. Garnish each glass with fresh cranberries, a half orange wheel on the rim, and a mint sprig tucked into the side.
  8. Serve immediately. For parties, keep the pitcher chilled and let guests add ice to individual glasses to prevent dilution.

Notes

For best results, chill all ingredients and glasses beforehand. Use large ice cubes to slow melting. If making ahead, mix the cranberry, orange, lime juice, and simple syrup up to 24 hours in advance; add ginger beer just before serving. For a spiced version, add cinnamon sticks and cloves. For a lighter version, replace 1 cup ginger beer with sparkling water.
