A creamy, cheesy spinach artichoke dip that comes together in just 30 minutes. Perfect for Friendsgiving or any casual get-together, this crowd-pleasing dip is made with simple ingredients and is always a hit.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 14 oz can artichoke hearts, drained and roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prep the spinach: Thaw the frozen spinach in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes, or run the bag under cold water until soft. Dump it into a clean kitchen towel, gather the corners, and squeeze hard to remove as much liquid as possible.
  3. Drain and chop the artichokes: Open the can, rinse the artichokes in a colander, pat dry with a paper towel, then roughly chop into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
  4. Mix the base: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until smooth.
  5. Add the cheese and seasoning: Stir in the mozzarella, Parmesan, minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), black pepper, and salt. Mix until evenly distributed.
  6. Fold in the veggies: Add the squeezed spinach and chopped artichokes. Fold gently until fully incorporated.
  7. Transfer to the baking dish: Scrape the mixture into a greased 8×8-inch baking dish or small oven-safe skillet. Spread into an even layer.
  8. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are bubbly and the top is lightly golden. For a deeper golden crust, switch to broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully.
  9. Rest and serve: Let the dip cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with crackers, toasted bread, tortilla chips, or fresh veggies.

Notes

Squeeze the spinach very dry to prevent a watery dip. Soften cream cheese properly to avoid lumps. For make-ahead, assemble the dip a day in advance, cover, and refrigerate; add 5-10 minutes to baking time. Do not freeze as the texture may become grainy.
