A creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy buffalo chicken dip made with just three simple ingredients. Perfect for parties, game days, or a quick family snack, this dip is ready in under 30 minutes and is always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot Original)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (optional, plus more for topping)
  • Tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Shred the chicken using two forks or flake canned chicken after draining and patting dry.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with a hand mixer or fork until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Add the buffalo sauce to the cream cheese and stir until fully combined.
  5. Fold in the shredded chicken and optional shredded cheese until evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to an 8×8-inch baking dish and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle extra cheese on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly around the edges. For a browner top, broil for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  9. Serve immediately with chips, veggies, or crackers.

Notes

For a milder version, use a mild buffalo sauce or mix with melted butter. Pat chicken dry to avoid watery dip. Can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated before baking. Leftovers keep for up to 4 days in the fridge or can be frozen for up to 2 months.
