A spooky green Halloween punch that creates a dramatic fog effect using dry ice. This easy, crowd-pleasing drink is perfect for parties and transforms any gathering into a magical event.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (12 ounces) lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 can (12 ounces) limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 4 cups (960 ml) pineapple juice
  • 4 cups (960 ml) ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
  • 10–15 drops green food coloring
  • 2–3 pounds (about 1 kg) dry ice
  • 2 cups (480 ml) water
  • 2 cups (about 300 grams) ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large punch bowl, combine the thawed lemonade concentrate, thawed limeade concentrate, and pineapple juice. Stir well until fully mixed.
  2. Pour in the water and ginger ale or lemon-lime soda. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Add 10 drops of green food coloring and stir. Add up to 5 more drops for a deeper green color.
  4. Refrigerate the punch for 30 minutes before serving, or add optional ice cubes if in a rush.
  5. Put on gloves or use tongs. Carefully remove dry ice from packaging. If using a block, break into small pieces (1-2 inches). Place pieces in a small bowl.
  6. Using tongs or gloved hands, gently drop 2-3 pieces of dry ice into the punch bowl. Do not drop from a height.
  7. Serve immediately using a ladle. Ensure dry ice has fully sublimated before serving more. Warn guests not to ingest dry ice.
  8. Replenish fog by adding more dry ice pieces every 10-15 minutes as needed.

Notes

Never touch dry ice with bare hands; use gloves or tongs. Do not let anyone ingest dry ice pieces. Store dry ice in a vented container. For best fog effect, keep punch cold and add dry ice just before serving.
