This creamy, spicy, and tart dip comes together in just 10 minutes with simple ingredients like cream cheese, cranberry sauce, and fresh jalapeño. Perfect for holiday parties, game-day gatherings, or a cozy night in, it’s a crowd-pleaser that tastes like Christmas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1–2 fresh jalapeños, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Optional: Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Take the cream cheese out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before starting. If in a hurry, microwave in 10-second bursts until soft but not melted.
  2. Whip the cream cheese: Place softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until light, fluffy, and smooth. Scrape down sides halfway through.
  3. Add the flavor base: Add whole berry cranberry sauce, honey, fresh lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix on low speed until just combined, leaving some whole berries intact.
  4. Fold in the jalapeño and green onions: Gently fold in diced jalapeño and most of the sliced green onions (reserve a tablespoon for garnish). Use a spatula and fold just until distributed.
  5. Taste and adjust: Taste and adjust seasoning—add more jalapeño for heat, honey for sweetness, or salt to balance.
  6. Transfer to serving dish: Scoop dip into a serving platter or shallow bowl. Use the back of a spoon to create a slight swirl or well in the center.
  7. Add the toppings: Sprinkle reserved green onions over the top. Add chopped pecans or walnuts if using. Garnish with a few whole cranberries or a thin slice of fresh jalapeño.
  8. Chill (optional but recommended): Serve immediately or chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to meld flavors. If making ahead, cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
  9. Serve and watch it disappear: Bring to room temperature for about 10 minutes if chilled. Arrange dippers around the bowl and serve.

Notes

For a milder dip, remove seeds and membranes from jalapeño. For more heat, leave some seeds in. The dip can be made up to 2 days ahead. If the dip seems stiff after chilling, let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes or stir in a tablespoon of milk or cream.
