A quick and easy dessert dip made with cream cheese, butter, and crushed Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, topped with vanilla sprinkles. Perfect for holiday gatherings, this creamy, sweet, and crunchy dip comes together in under 10 minutes and is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  • 4 Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, crushed (3 for dip, 1 for garnish)
  • ¼ cup vanilla sprinkles (reserve 1 tablespoon for garnish)
  • Assorted dippers: graham crackers, vanilla wafers, pretzels, fresh fruit (strawberries, apple slices), or extra Christmas Tree Cakes

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese and butter by taking them out of the fridge about 30 minutes before starting. If in a hurry, microwave cream cheese in 10-second intervals until soft but not melted.
  2. Crush three of the Christmas Tree Cakes in a ziploc bag using a rolling pin or your hands, leaving some larger chunks for texture. Set aside the fourth cake for garnishing.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides halfway through.
  4. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating on low speed to avoid a sugar cloud, then increase to medium and beat for another minute until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and almond extract (if using). Beat on low speed just until combined. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  6. Gently fold in the crushed Christmas Tree Cake pieces and most of the vanilla sprinkles (reserve 1 tablespoon for topping) using a spatula. Fold just until evenly distributed; do not overmix.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. If time allows, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to let flavors meld. Can be served immediately if desired.
  8. Right before serving, crush the remaining Christmas Tree Cake and sprinkle it over the top along with the reserved vanilla sprinkles. Arrange dippers around the bowl and serve.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and butter. Cold ingredients can cause lumps, so ensure they are at room temperature. The dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance; add garnishes just before serving. Not recommended for freezing. For a dairy-free version, use plant-based cream cheese and vegan butter. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free vanilla snack cakes.
