Sparkling Cranberry Prosecco Punch - featured image

This Easy Sparkling Cranberry Prosecco Punch is bright, bubbly, and comes together in about five minutes. It’s the perfect balance of tart cranberry, sweet orange, and dry prosecco, ideal for holiday gatherings, birthday brunches, or any occasion that needs a little sparkle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) chilled Prosecco (or any dry sparkling wine like Cava or Champagne)
  • 2 cups chilled cranberry juice (100% cranberry juice, not cocktail)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (about 3–4 oranges)
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (see note below, or use maple syrup)
  • Fresh cranberries (a handful, plus extra for ice cubes)
  • Orange slices (thinly sliced into half-moons)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)
  • 1/2 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for simple syrup, or honey)

Instructions

  1. Make the simple syrup (if using homemade): Combine 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves completely—about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature. You can make this ahead and store it in the fridge for up to two weeks.
  2. Chill everything: Make sure your prosecco, cranberry juice, and orange juice are all thoroughly chilled before you start. Put everything in the fridge at least 4 hours ahead, or pop the prosecco in the freezer for 20 minutes if you are in a hurry.
  3. Prepare the garnishes: While your ingredients are chilling, slice your oranges into thin rounds, then cut each round in half to make half-moons. Rinse your fresh cranberries and pat them dry. If using rosemary, wash and dry the sprigs.
  4. Mix the base: In your pitcher or punch bowl, combine the chilled cranberry juice, orange juice, and simple syrup. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Add the prosecco: Slowly pour the chilled prosecco into the juice mixture, tilting the bottle to let it run down the side of the pitcher rather than splashing directly into the liquid. Stir very gently—just two or three slow rotations with your spoon.
  6. Add the garnishes: Drop in the orange slices, fresh cranberries, and rosemary sprigs. If you made cranberry-orange ice cubes, add those now instead of regular ice.
  7. Taste and adjust: Give it a quick taste. If you want it sweeter, add a splash more simple syrup. If you want more tartness, a little extra cranberry juice.
  8. Serve immediately: Pour into glasses filled with ice (or without ice if you used frozen fruit cubes). Garnish each glass with a fresh rosemary sprig and a few cranberries. The punch is best within the first hour of making it.

Notes

Keep everything cold to maintain carbonation. Do not use regular ice cubes; instead, make ice cubes out of cranberry juice and orange juice mixed together. This punch does not hold well overnight, so make one batch at a time. If using rosemary as a garnish, slap the sprigs gently between your palms before adding to release essential oils.
