This easy Halloween popcorn snack mix combines salty popcorn, crunchy pretzels, and creamy white chocolate with fun candy eyeballs for a spooky, crowd-pleasing treat that comes together in just 15 minutes of active time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 cups popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup unpopped kernels or two 3-ounce bags of microwave popcorn)
  • 1 cup dry-roasted peanuts (optional)
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks, broken into 1-inch pieces
  • 16 ounces white melting wafers (candy melts or almond bark)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional)
  • 1 cup candy eyeballs (about 100–120 pieces)
  • 1/2 cup Halloween sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pop your popcorn (5 minutes). If using stovetop or air popper, pop 1/2 cup of kernels according to your machine’s instructions. If using microwave popcorn, pop two 3-ounce bags. Remove any unpopped kernels. Spread the popped popcorn on a baking sheet to cool completely.
  2. Prep your mix-ins (2 minutes). While the popcorn cools, break your pretzel sticks into 1-inch pieces. Measure out your peanuts if using. Set aside your candy eyeballs and sprinkles.
  3. Melt the white chocolate (2 minutes). Place the white melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely smooth (about 90 seconds total). Add the coconut oil or shortening if using, and stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients (3 minutes). In your largest mixing bowl, combine the cooled popcorn, pretzel pieces, and peanuts. Toss gently with your hands to distribute everything evenly.
  5. Add the white chocolate (3 minutes). Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn mixture. Using a silicone spatula, fold gently until everything is evenly coated. Work from the bottom up, being careful not to crush the popcorn.
  6. Add the candy eyeballs and sprinkles (2 minutes). Immediately sprinkle the candy eyeballs and Halloween sprinkles over the coated popcorn. Fold gently 3-4 times to distribute them throughout the mix. Work quickly while the white chocolate is still warm.
  7. Set and serve (30 minutes). Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet in an even layer. Let it set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until the white chocolate is firm to the touch.

Notes

Don’t overheat the white chocolate—microwave in short bursts. Use room temperature popcorn to prevent the chocolate from becoming greasy. Reserve about 20 candy eyeballs to press into the top of the finished mix for a festive presentation. Avoid making this in humid weather as white chocolate can be finicky. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Do not refrigerate.
