A no-bake, creamy dessert dip featuring cream cheese, caramel, fresh apples, and toffee bits. Perfect for fall gatherings, it’s easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • 2 medium fresh apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Pink Lady), finely diced
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits, plus more for topping

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Take cream cheese out of fridge at least 30 minutes before starting. If short on time, microwave in 10-second bursts until just softened.
  2. Whip the cream cheese base: In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese with an electric hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Scrape down sides halfway through.
  3. Add sugar, vanilla, and salt: Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat on low speed first, then increase to medium and beat for 1-2 minutes until fully incorporated and light. Scrape bowl again.
  4. Whip the heavy cream: In a separate chilled medium bowl, pour in heavy cream. Using clean beaters, whip on medium-high speed until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Fold in whipped cream: Add half of whipped cream to cream cheese mixture. Gently fold with a rubber spatula using a sweeping motion. Add remaining whipped cream and fold until no white streaks remain.
  6. Prep the apples: Right before assembling, dice apples into small, even cubes (about 1/4-inch). If making ahead, toss with 1 teaspoon lemon juice to prevent browning. Pat dry with paper towel.
  7. Fold in apples and toffee: Add diced apples and 1/2 cup toffee bits to cream cheese mixture. Fold gently until evenly distributed.
  8. Swirl in caramel: Transfer dip to serving bowl or pie dish and spread into even layer. Drizzle about 1/4 cup caramel sauce over top in zigzag pattern. Use knife or skewer to gently swirl caramel into top layer.
  9. Top and chill: Sprinkle remaining toffee bits over top, add extra apple dice if desired, and drizzle with more caramel sauce. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Cream cheese must be at room temperature for smooth texture. Do not over-whip cream; soft peaks are ideal. Pat apples dry to prevent watery dip. Use thick caramel sauce. Chill before serving for best texture. Can be made up to 24 hours ahead; add apples and final caramel drizzle just before serving.
